We booked a full day tour with the Fatima Experience. Having Nelson as your guide makes it THE Fatima Experience. There was excellent communication ahead of the tour to confirm pick up. Pick up on the day of the tour was on time and seamless. We had a very pleasant drive from Lisbon where we learned about Portuguese history and history about Fatima. The tour itself was absolutely amazing, informative and spiritual. Nelson is very astute and provided a very customized experience. Our visit to Fatima couldn’t have been better. Nelson did an excellent job of bringing us back through time starting in the homes of the young children. Walking the path the children took  daily tending the sheep. Hiding next to the large Holm oak tree when Mary appeared to them. It helped you visualize the event. Standing across from the priests rectory you could visualize the fear of the children being interrogated by not only their parish priest but other priests. So many other places were visited as well . This was a profound experience from beginning to end.
Our guide Nelson knew the story of the three shepherd children and Fatima very very well. We were picked up at our ship port, traveled by air conditioned van to Fatima. The history of Fatima and the children was to told us as we traveled the 60-75 minutes. He is a Wonderful Story Teller.
Every detail was explained. We stopped at all the important sites, all was pointed out and explained. What we could experience at what time, where to eat, where to get candles for the procession, where we could sit and observe, bathrooms, on and on. No detail was left out.
This was a Fabulous Experience and we left having made a friend!! We felt totally safe and cared about by this kind and gentle man. This guide made our Experience all the Richer and Complete.

Nelson provided an excellent and very memorable tour in Fatima to the family homes of Francisco, Jacinta, and Lucia, the Parish Church of Fatima where they were baptized and received first communion, the Chapel of Apparitions, Our Lady of the Rosary Basilica and the Most Holy Trinity Basilica.  Nelson was very knowledgeable on the lives of the children and the beautiful apparitions of   Mary. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. We highly recommend Nelson and this tour.
