This was a profound experience from beginning to end. Our guide Nelson knew the story of the three shepherd children and Fatima very very well. We were picked up at our ship port, traveled by air conditioned van to Fatima. The history of Fatima and the children was to told us as we traveled the 60-75 minutes. He is a Wonderful Story Teller. Every detail was explained. We stopped at all the important sites, all was pointed out and explained. What we could experience at what time, where to eat, where to get candles for the procession, where we could sit and observe, bathrooms, on and on. No detail was left out. This was a Fabulous Experience and we left having made a friend!! We felt totally safe and cared about by this kind and gentle man. This guide made our Experience all the Richer and Complete. Nelson provided an excellent and very memorable tour in Fatima to the family homes of Francisco, Jacinta, and Lucia, the Parish Church of Fatima where they were baptized and received first communion, the Chapel of Apparitions, Our Lady of the Rosary Basilica and the Most Holy Trinity Basilica.  Nelson was very knowledgeable on the lives of the children and the beautiful apparitions of   Mary. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. Nelson is so knowledgeable & personable. From the moment we met we were family.  The experience of this moment in our faith came to life through his words & knowledge of its history. Nothing short of an exceptional tour and exactly what we had hoped for. Not stuffy or rushed,  immensely knowledgeable on history, but also local current information.  Nelson picked us up in a very comfortable van,  was a safe driver, and allowed plenty of time for wandering while still keeping us moving if we needed to. If someone dozed off in the car from the day, no one was offended and he fielded all sorts of questions when we were in the mood to pepper him. For many years, my wife and I dreamed of making a pilgrimage to Fátima. As devout Catholics who have long been inspired by the story of our Blessed Mother appearing to the three shepherd children, this was a deeply meaningful journey for us. We were blessed to have Nelson as our guide, and we truly could not have asked for anyone better. From the moment our tour began, Nelson's knowledge, kindness, and genuine passion for Fátima were evident. He took us to all of the important sites and beautifully explained the history and significance of each one. As someone who lives locally and shares our Catholic faith, he offered personal insights and perspectives that made the experience even more meaningful. One of the most unforgettable moments of our day was when Nelson introduced us to the niece of Jacinta and Francisco. She graciously and enthusiastically agreed to take a photograph with us, creating a memory we will treasure for the rest of our lives. To say this was a special day would be an understatement. It was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and a profoundly spiritual experience that we will never forget.
